About the New Mexico Lottery
Former governor Gary Johson authorized the New Mexico Lottery in 1995, 🔴and the first tickets went on sale in 199🐓6.
By the end of its first year, the lottery made over $6 million in profits. Also in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery added Powerball to its offerings. The lottery debuted Roadrunner Cash, a state jackpot game with nightly draws💯, in 1998.
The state then added Mega Millions in 2010, and Lotto America in 2017. Proceeds fr🅺om the New Mexico Lottery go toward education in the state and are used ඣto help cover tuition costs at public state colleges.
